“X’s and O’s” is an autobiographical exploration of the tensions in the marriage relationship while exploring gender roles and expectations. Quotes from professional basketball players overlay images of a fumbled attempt at making a pumpkin pie from scratch evoking competitive struggle. While documenting the domestic act, I accidentally blended my forefinger forcing a trip to the emergency room.

Installation at Denver Seminary’s “Bread Shed”. The “Bread Shed” is where families (typically mothers and their children) may pick up free, day old bread for their families.
